Falling in love with amazing Chiang Mai, Thailand

We are elderly people and probably have not had the opportunities for adventure travel that youngsters of today have.

Our biggest adventure was coming to Thailand on holiday for the first time, falling in love with Chiang Mai, deciding to retire here and buying a house, all in the space of 1 week.

Invited to Thailand

At age 63 we were invited to Thailand by an old school friend who re-contacted us on a website called Friends Re-united. We were looking for a place in the sun to which to retire and we found it here, in Chiang Mai.

We have been here now for 6 years and love it so much that we have started a the Amazing Chang Mai website and we hope to persuade others to follow our example.

Things we did here

Here we have ridden elephants, rafted down the river, visited tigers in their cages and generally done all the touristy things people do here in Thailand.

We never could have imagined doing these things at our age. But here we are, living in a great adventure.
