Peru History, Prepare your soul for an idyllic dream

Machu Picchu, Peru

Peru History is one of the world's greatest when it comes to ancient civilizations. Their cultural, archaeological and unique heritage impress visitors from all over the world.

The diversity of its regions (coast, highlands and jungle) makes Peru a unique country. It has a population of more than 23 million people, mainly descendents of Spanish and Inca cultures. The most common language is Spanish. Quechua and Aymara are spoken by a minority of locals.

How many places on earth can you trek through hot, humid jungles one day, and cold arid glaciers the next? The geography of Peru is truly a wonder. When it comes to location, this country has it all!

Those who are interested in Peru's history will find lost cities hidden high in the Andean mountain tops. And those who are looking to immerse themselves in the local culture will find native tribes accessible only by boat and local cities that you can only reach by plane.

Peru truly has something for everyone. This country has a geology and climatic structure so diverse that it supports a number of wondrous natural sites.

When I traveled to Cuzco, I had the opportunity to do the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, and I was impressed by the beauty of the area, is amazing. I also saw people who live there and I shared time with them. That way I learned most of their customs and traditions.
