Tokyo - The World's Most Exciting City

by Alma
(Japan)

My story starts with a very common trip to Asia.
But unlike other folks who travel for a few months and go back home to settle down, in my case things were different.

I fell in love with Tokyo and the Japanese culture, and decided to stay.

I lived in Tokyo, and immersed myself completely in the Japanese culture and now It is my second home. I still think it's the most interesting city in the world (excuse me New-York).

In the last 2 years I turned my passion for Tokyo into a profession, and so Tokyo Top Guide was born.

Here are the Coolest Tokyo Travel Spots You Won't Find in the Travel Section:

Japanese Cosplay in Harajuku

This is one of best places to go in Tokyo on a Sunday. Tokyo teens wear Harajuku Cosplay, Cosplay costumes and accessories to become characters from Manga, Anime and video games.

Cosplay girls dress like Gothic Lolitas, French Maids and Hello Kitty.

But there's more to Harajuku clothing than meets the eye. This trend turned Tokyo into a fashion capital, an inspiration for Designers and celebrities from Gwen Stefani to Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Shibuya crossing

The iconic intersection, featured endlessly in Media as a symbol of the city, is called 'Tokyo's Times Square'.

It has something of a futuristic feeling to it, with huge neon screens and an unbelievable mass of people that cross the intersection at the same time.

Crowds of Tokyo teens wearing the latest and most extreme Tokyo fashion trends complete the dynamic scene.

Tokyo Fish Market

This is one of the most Exciting Places To Go In Tokyo, although it does require Getting up early in the morning.

Piles of oysters, shell fish, deep sea crabs, eels and other small sea creatures welcome you as you wander between hundreds of bubbling sea water containers.

The area around the market has charming little shops selling Japanese food. An excellent opportunity to stock up on Green tea and Japanese Candy before you fly home.

I hope you enjoy your Tokyo Sightseeing!
