Have you ever been to Ukraine? I am sure that trip is among the brightest in your life. Haven't you ever been to Ukraine? You certainly should visit this beautiful country. What is that special about Ukraine? Over 500 cities of Ukraine were founded more than 900 years ago, 4500 villages are more than 300 years old. More than 150 thousands monuments of culture, history, archeology reflect the remarkable history of the Ukrainian people.

At the same time Ukraine's excellent climate and scenic nature are perfect conditions for those who would like to escape from a stuffy city closer to nature. The Mediterranean climate of the Black Sea and Crimea is ideal for rock climbing, diving, mountaineering, hiking, and mountain biking, and even skiing. Everybody from 8 to 80 years old can find his own route of any complicity on the Crimean Peninsula.

But perhaps real adventure one can find in Ukrainian Carpathians Mountains. Most of us are the big city kids. But from time to time we experience great temptation to escape from our every day routine and once again to remember taste of clear water, to enjoy unspoiled nature, to listen to sounds of the mountain streams and the birds singing. No wonder that rural or green tourism becomes so popular.

Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains are a heaven for the rural tourism. Bordering four European countries, this area of Ukraine has managed to save its unspoiled nature and ethnic originality. Does it sound too good to be true? Fortunately it is true for now. Everybody can find his/her special place there to feel happy any season of the year.

During the winter time Transcarpathia offers its visitors skiing, sledding, and snow boarding. The warm season is really amazing in Carpathians. You can choose whatever you wish: backpacking, biking, fishing, hunting, horse riding, rafting, wine and mineral water tasting, bathing in the curative salt lakes, and so on. If you consider all these adventure travel possibilities as hard work, you have another choice. Take your favorite drink, sit in the tree shade and just watch, listen and breathe. You will come back home as a new person after visiting the West Ukraine area.

An unexpected adventure travel destination
by: Patrick

Great article about an unexpected destination. Sounds like this is one of those places on the globe which is still unspoiled by many visitors, although there is much to see and do for those not scared for an adventure!!

Excellent post
by: John Smith

Since my childhood days, I am crazy about traveling as my father is a person who is always planning some new tours to some new destinations. Today suddenly I reached your blog and I read the post "Ukraine Adventure Travel" with the picture of taking bath in the sixteenth century VAT. I have started thinking to visit Ukraine and take a bath in the VAT just like the person in the picture. Could you please tell me if I visit the place in the mid of April, what kind of climate will be there?

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience in your blog.

West Ukraine Tour Guide

Yes, that sixteenth century VAT really looks like a very big temptation. April is not the best time to visit West Ukraine. It will still be pretty cold there. That picture was sent to me by our Ukrainian guide Valery Shevchenko who has lived in West Ukraine.
If you would like to have the first hand information about that area , I would recommend you to visit Valery's page at Ukraine-travel-advisor site. (see second link at the bottom of this page.) It has direct link to the main site. On that main site Valery's page (West Ukraine Tour Guide) is under the navigation bar button "Ukraine tour guides".

Good luck on your new adventure travel!
